09/01/2015 - UPDATE
Dear Friends, as some of you have see, the below mentioned event is now official - the opening is on 16th January 2015 at 6pm in the gallery of Palach Club, so I would love to see some of you from Rijeka and around at the opening.
Following the exhibition, you will be able to attend three lectures held by appreciated historians of art and fashion, covering the topics of "Secession in everyday life", "Ceramics in secession of Rijeka" and "Fashion in time of Secession".
All photos from the exhibition will soon be in my gallery here (2 of them already are and one of them brought me my first Daily Deviation today!)
Thank you all for your support and kind comments and words, it means a lot to me!
Hugs,
Ceno

It came the time to say it out loud - I will have my first solo exhibition in January! :joy:
I am not allowed to share images with you yet, but the name is of the same is "Secession from the Attic", representing my favorite period of history and my fascination with dark, forgotten and abandoned places and things.
The concept was shown through the series of photographs featuring human models (both male and female) acting as old porcelain dolls dressed in fashion from period of 1890-1910., "found" in old wooden closets and dark corners of attic.
The idea was built piece by piece, as I took a decision to definitively shoot people as vintage dolls as they always fascinated me so much. When I was thinking about the location, I've realised that my home is perfect place for the set because of it's very own dark corners. To make things better, the building where I live is a perfect example of Secession architecture, built in 1905. by a well known Austro - Hungarian architect Giovanni Rubinich (Rijeka was a part of Austro - Hungarian Empire).
That way, I decided to show my appreciation for art, fashion, history, gloomy and forgotten places and love toward Rijeka through this photographic series.
I have to mention that I had a group of great enthusiastic models who helped me to build the scene, we made all of our costumes by ourselves and tried to re-enact the fashion of forgotten time as best as we knew and could
Stay tuned, because photos might arrive soon!
PS - I wouldn't be myself if photos weren't just a little bit gloomy
Love,
Ceno

Bits and Pieces from 2016
Hello dear Friends,
I almost feel a duty to apologize for such a long silence and lack of new works from my end.
This year hasn't been so good so far for me, as my brother got severely ill and spent a couple of months in the hospital.
As his illness came out of the blue sky, my family and I had a hard few months, re-organizing our lives in the best possible way to help him, be by his side, visit him and take care of ourselves.
Unfortunately, it seems I didn't really took care of myself as all of that exhausted me and now I am giving my best to get myself back on track, in a manner of health, good sleep, trainings etc.
I can openly say I
Hello Autumn!
Hi fellow deviants!
Just wanted to shortly inform you that, after 3 months of shooting nature, landscapes and moments from my trips, I am preparing to work with people again. :D I've realised that I had a really long break from portrait photography and now I've found several models to work with in the following month or so. I am only hoping for a good weather as all of my ideas are to be set outdoors.
I will also be a model to my fellow Deviant photographer, but more about that in following weeks ;)
Have a good and warm autumn!
Love,
Ceno
An Inspiring Friday 13th
I never used to be superstitious and I never saw a Friday 13th as an ominous day; moreover, earlier today, during the mental blackout at my workplace (meaning that I was not thinking about what I have to do at work today, but what will I do this weekend), a small idea about a new series of photographs was born. :)
For an unknown reason, it always happen that I have a product name before the product (I always say to myself it will be a working title which later becomes the official one, too), so I had a title immediately.
:simmeTRY:
I will spend this weekend at my parent's place, in peace and close to the nature and give my best to develop
Hiya
Hello my dear friends,
Just stopped by to tell you "big thanks" to all of you who fave and appreciate my work here
In short, there are few news from my side, one of them is that back in July I became a freelance photographer for interiors for an Danish tourist agency and I'm super happy and content with this new assignment because I've learnt so many new things and met a lot of new and nice people :)
Consequently, that means that most of my field shootings are done on weekends and I basically have no days-off at all, but it doesn't matter as long as I'm doing what fulfils me and makes me happy :D
As some of you probably have seen,
